2010 DAY CAMP OPEN HOUSE

 

Sunday May 2nd from Noon to 3 PM

Take a tour of camp, meet some of the staff, ask questions and meet the Director. This is a great day for first year campers to get familiar with camp as well as a great opportunity for returning campers to see what's new at Foster. Come and join us!

 

The Camp Foster Experience

  • Campers ages 4 to 12 experience self-discovery, self-confidence and self-esteem through age appropriate programs with peers, as well encouragement and positive reinforcement from counselors.
  • Spend the week with your group participating in activity areas, enjoying free time and building friendships.
  • Our progressive programs are designed to challenge each child at an appropriate level.

Camp Foster YMCA, established 1912

  • Located on East Lake Okoboji, Camp Foster's 214 acres are home to one of the oldest camps in the Midwest.

  • Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Fairness are the five core values campers are exposed to through our staff and programs.

  • Camp Foster YMCA is accredited by the American Camp Association. This nationally recognized association focuses on program quality, health and safety.

  • Foster staff receives extensive training prior to the camp season and are supervised by our professional staff on a daily basis. Criminal background checks are completed for all staff.

  • Day Camp runs Monday through Friday 9 AM to 4 PM for nine weeks.  Activities and themes engage and enrich campers with new experiences.

  • Our Health Director is available all day and Lakes Regional Hospital is ten minutes away.
